Content	In the lecture and the tutorial the basic principles of factory planning are covered. The first part deals with the development of objectives of factory planning projects. In the second part it is shown how to choose factory locations and how to design factory structures and factory layouts. In the third part production planning, assembly planning and logistics planning are covered. In the last part the topic Lean Production is discussed and techniques to assess factory planning results are shown. In addition to the lecture "Factory Planning" a soft skills course on presentation techniques is offered, where 3 Soft Skills Credits can be acquired. The main objective is to offer the students the possibility to actively participate in this lecture. Therefore, up to four students can register themselves in a team. Every team has the task to develop and to prepare selected contents for the lecture and present these to their fellow students.
